Jobs done!

It's tough in the professional photography world so it's pleasing when shoots come to fruition. I've covered two yachting events this year so far with the main batch of regattas and events to come starting next week.

The first event covered was the Pendennis Cup based for the week in Falmouth. Unbelievably large yachts including 'Adix' shown here, which is over 200 foot long with a displacement in excess of 350 tonnes and 'Christopher' with a keel draft of over 30 foot! That illustrious sailing magazine 'Yachting World' published a number of images of mine from the event in their August issue, with images of Christopher across two pages plus the eventual winner of the event, 'Velacarina', one of 'Adix' caught on a start buoy, the newly refitted yacht 'Kelpie' plus, the double page spread of 'Adix' as the article opener.

The second event I have covered this year so far is the JP Morgan Round the Island race. With over 15000 competitors on 1600 yachts competing and little wind, last year's record set by Sir Ben Ainslie of under 3 hours to circumnavigate the Isle of Wight was never going to be4 broken. In fact, this year the fastest yacht 'Richard Mille' took over 6 hours and it was a candid shot of that yacht that Yachting World again saw fit to publish in the same issue.

Thanks Yachting World.
